Everyone thinks they are imperfect. Everyone feels they are imperfect. Me too. Labels: pictures
Yesterday, I was reading Esther (aka Ice-angel)'s blog. On her latest post, she mentioned a blogger named Mr0taku asked her to edit his picture for him. Then I realised that not only me that thinks themselves are imperfect. There are actually a lot out there. And the only place that could make ourselves really pretty is the net.
Knowing how to use photoshop is like adding sin to yourself. When I first try out photoshop, I'm happy that I can edit away blemishes. One will stay acne/pimples free on the net. As I acquired more skills, I discover more imperfection on my face. I hate how I look like: my nose is flat, my cheeks are chubby, my lips are thick & etc. Then I will edit my picture heavily and BAM! Those pictures don't have a single bit that look like me anymore! Those before and after pictures make a huge difference.
Photoshop is like drugs, once you touch it you'll get addicted to it. It was until Scott reminded me that perhaps my pictures were so heavily edited that they don't look like me. I woke up and stopped doing all these (ok la, sometimes hands itching so I will edit a little).
The above picture is not heavily edited. I didn't do anything to my nose or cheeks. I just removed the blemishes and change the color tone of the entire picture. This is the only picture that looks good without much editing. Perhaps it's my makeup skills. =D
