Because it has a nice cover (I'm a fan of books with beautiful/colorful covers) with interesting idea/plot and of course because it's recommended by Books Actually in my email newsletter.
I'm only afraid that it's too cheem for me. Bleah. Shall give it a go since I'm craving for books at the start of the year.
You can take a look at the rest of the recommended ones in HERE.
Shall take a trip down to BA tomorrow.
Besides A Void, I want to get myself...
- A pair of new shoes from Im@ge Turn (because WC bought her heels there and they're super comfy) - Stockingsssssssss (I tore mine in DXO) - Bag? - Dress or some nice sexy top
Tomorrow's shopping trip would probably cost me
a bomb
as huge as $100.
I might consider getting some stuffs another day since I have to go from Far East to Telok Ayer, to bugis to any else where.
Went to Ngee Ann Poly & Singapore Poly with Raymond to check out the JAE appeal.
NP counsller told me NOT to choose a random course and study. She told me to go retake my O's which is not a wise choice to do so. (MOE change syllabus la. If I need to retake, I have to attend secondary 3 classes all over again) She told me that DAE is not recommendable too.
SP counseller told me that she have no idea how high are the chances of me getting in to Landscape architecture since the COP is like 18? And my ElR2B2 is 18.
Raymond said we still can try sending MP's letter (which is really the last resort).
If all else fails, I don't know what I can do.
Anyway, thanks Weepeng, Raymond, Nikz, Stuart, Deadman (though I still dont know who are you), and all others who are so patience with me during these few days when I just kept flaring my temper and feeling extremely lousy.
"Thanks" to all those people who kept rubbing salt onto my wound.
Ling - Dune says: Yo so how is your posting? Your last blog entry is cryptic. crying and hysterical then a smiling face at the bottom of it?
Haha. Okok, so I shall tell everyone which school am I posted into so you all can stop bothering me.
I'm currently school-less.
Yes yes, I have no school now. This is not a joke.
I woke up by Sean telling me to check my phone. The first thing I saw was that MOE said that I'm not posted into any school. I filled up 12 choices in my JAE application!
JPSAE wasn't successful either...
Then the appeal came, but I only have 4 choices to choose from. 4 sucky choices. But I still choose 3 out of those 4.
As I was feeling half-dead, and having a mass conversation with Weepeng and Selina, a non-familiar number called me... IT WAS MS JENNIFER WONG! After finding out my aggregate scores from me, she said she would try to help me.
So not all hopes are lost YET. But right now please stop bothering me about this posting results thingy. I will tell you when I get a school and a course.
And of course, I hope this time round God is not going to fool me anymore. I fell so many times from the bridge but you put me back up and give me hopes after hopes. This time round, please don't lift me up to a cliff and push me down again.
I think it's about time that I have to go shopping again. Need some new stuffsssss~
Things I need
: New T-shirts : New jeans/skinnies/pants/shorts : At least one demin skirt : Decent school bag : New stationaries : Refill for my foundtion : New concealor
Yesterday I went to Mdm Ng's house for CNY visit with the whole lot of Drama seniors! It's always a "tradition" to visit Mdm Ng at least once in a year. And we always either leave when the sky is very dark (11pm) or we leave the next morning.
I took loads of pictures taken at Mdm Ng's house with Wanjun, Sis and Wenchun! Since there were too much to upload, I will only pick out a few... but these pictures will probably tells you how much fun we had at her house.
Hi, I'm Jay Chou's sister.
Yayyyyyy~
There's a time when YS came in and chat with us, then he showed us a video...
It was a darn tired day! I was literally running about in school today!
As soon as Weepeng entered Drama room, both of us ranout to the General Office to look for the principal. But she isn't around, so we left a note for the vice principal saying that we would like to meet him regarding JPSAE. Then, we ran back to Drama Room for the session.
Halfway through, Weepeng received a call from Meiyan saying that Mr Francis Lim (vice principal) is free to meet us now. So we ran to the G.O again and told Mr Lim about the situation.
After that we rushed back home in the cab to take my portfolio and cabbed back to school.
We reached the G.O and Mr Lim told us that he's busy now because of the fire drill practice (it's total defence day today -.-) so he can only meet us after the drill. So we ran back to Drama room. Sze Siong told us that there will be a drill practice so we need to take charge of the CCA in leading them to the field.
The drill bell rang and we brisk walked to the field with the entire Drama juniors following behind. Bloody hot day.
Rushed back to Drama room after the drill and ran back to the G.O to meet Mr Lim after Drama session ended.
So after this post, I have to rush out a soft copy of my testimonial and send it via E-mail to Mr Lim.
Sigh. So tired. More about Valentine's in another day.
Well, you done done me and you bet I felt it I tried to be chill but your so hot that i melted I fell right through the cracks, and i'm tryin to get back before the cool done run out i'll be givin it my best test and nothin's gonna stop me but divine intervention I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some

At first I was quite shocked to see that CJ7, because when it first appeared it looked quite ugly. But after awhile, it's acutally quite adorable. Sean said that there should be a CJ7 toy for people to collect. If that really happens, I WANT A CJ7 TOO!
Trivia: - The "Buddha Palm" scene in Kung Fu Hustle was featured in CJ7 - The boss/contractor in CJ7 was previously acted as the Bone, Stephen Chow's sidekick in Kung Fu Hustle - Dicky in CJ7 is actually a girl.
Unlike Stephen's previous movies, CJ7 actually stirs up the emotions. Be it how mean Dicky was to CJ7, or when *spoiler*Stephen Chow's sudden death*spoiler*. You would also be "ugh-ing" about the super big fat ugly girl in the movie, and the rich kids/teachers who despise Dicky because he is poor.
I must say that all Stephen Chow's movies are good. It's funny and lame as usual. However, there is still quite a huge gap between his previous movie "Kung Fu Hustle" and this CJ7. It's recommended to watch if you want a good laugh, but I suggest you not to buy the DVD/VCD of CJ7. Not worth to collect/keep.
After so many years w/o any hate-rs in my blog, I have one today!
This bastard called me a bitch.
I once heard a person said this regarding famous blogs: "Aiya, famous blogs always have hate-rs one."
HAHA. Thank you Bastard for that lovely tag. So does it mean that my blog is famous already?
Jokes aside, I think that you (yes you bastard) are just a person with small eyes, small nose and small lips. In other words, you are just a average looking person on the street. Who in the right mind would call themselves BASTARD?
Unless if you are really a bastard, I don't mind you calling yourself that.
HAH.
p/s: 116.15.62.164, I hope one day I might be able to track down your IP and find out who you are. And don't worry, that day might come very very soon.

And oh, did you realise that I changed my hair color? It's deep burgundy! So it looked a little redish and purplish under light, but black when the room is dark. Like red wine's color... no?

Yesterday I went to celebrate Sean's Mum's birthday at Beng Hiang Restaurant (ming2 xiang1 cai4 guan3) which is situated at Amoy Street.
The parking lots in Amoy Street are pathetically little, so we had to keep turning in and out of this one way lane.
Since I'm quite a fan of chinese food (dont really like western restaurants, too much dinning etiqutte that I cannot remember), I can tell you that the food they served there are D-LICIOUS! Yum-yum.
We had: (I give you the most exact dishes' names here, cept the fish because I have no idea what fish was that. I'm not a fan of fishes.)
Long longevity paus Cold dish Combination(leng3 pan2) Doubled Boiled Superior Shark's fin w/ Pig's Tail Crispy Suckling Pig (thumbs up for this) Fish Asparagus w/ scallops Braised Duck with Sea-cucumber in claypot Long Longevity noodles Dessert (not sure what dessert, but it taste good) Kong Bak Pau Cake (from Choc.a.bloc I think)
Hm.. this is the first time I ate a little from every dishes. (was thinking that I should not be too choosy when eating out with them) And Sean's Dad kept telling us to try the Kong Bak Pau from this restaurant because its quite famous.
Oh and I got 2 blisters on my right foot due to the rubbing between my toes and the peep toes wedges. *cries*
Today I joined the Buds Youth Theatre for a workshop! Yayyyyy~ It's located at The Substation. The session rocked. I played new drama games. I meet new friends. I'm going for a second session after CNY. I love Drama. Yayyyyyyy~
If you wanna sleep on the bus/train, don't sway yourself like a coconut tree.
Just now was on my way home, on a bus there was this man sleeping beside me. The bus didn't move very fast, but this guy was swaying... and swaying in his sleep.
I think he dreamt of himself being a coconut tree.
Well, there's nothing wrong to have a little movement on the train. BUT, if your pretending-to-be-a-coconut-tree action is too big that it disturbs the other commuters, kindly refrain from doing it. Because of the swaying, I had to elbow him (quite hard) many a times on the bus.
Angers aside, I watched Sweeney Todd in the cinema (it's M18, btw) today! It's the best movie everrrrrrrr this month. I'm quite the gore-fanatic myself and loves to watch dark films, hence I like the show very very much! Go catch it!
Or would you like a trailer of it?
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street Directed by: Time Burton
Starring: Johnny Depp Helena Bonham Carter Alan Rickman Sacha Baron Cohen.
Supper: - One packet of Chicken Flavored Twisties - Another packet of BBQ Flavored Twisties
I almost wanted to eat Tom Yum Maggie Mee for supper and add Roti Prata for lunch too! But I don't have so much money.
At this rate I'm going, I will be a very poor girl. Not fat. You know why? Because I'm freaking 1.59 m and only 41.5 kg. And using BMI (Body Mass Index) to count, I'M FREAKING UNDERWEIGHT.
How to count using BMI:
BMI = kg/m^2, hence BMI = 41.5/2.5281 = 16.4
BMI Range: Starvation - less than 16.5 Underweight - From 16.5 to 18.5 Normal - 18.5 to 25 Overweight - 25 to 30 Obese - 30 to 35 Clinically Obese - 35 to 40 Morbidly Obsese - greater than 40
