Singapore is not safe anymore

I used to think that I'm lucky to live in Singapore. Though it's small but hey, travelling from the West to East is just 1.5 hours long. Moreover there are no volcanic activities, floods, tornados/hurricanes, terrorists attacks and riots/strikes except the SARS incident few years ago and the recent increase of dengue fevers in Singapore.

However these few days it kept raining, causing floods in some areas especially the one near Joo Chiat. I took a picture of the water catchment area in my neighbourhood yesterday.

It was a disaster walking home with school shoes. All the sheltered areas are WET and puddles of water can be seen as you walk home. Despite my shoes materials are somewhat "waterproof", water still seep in.

I think on Monday, the news reported that some area's residents could feel the Earth shaking. In other words, there's earthquake in Singapore! Hereby I declared that

SINGAPORE IS NOT SAFE ANYMORE!!!!!!

Sigh. Rain stop please. =(
